This was a different party where we were all talking about Doctor Who. I get invited to the best parties.)

The review of Day of the Doctor makes me look like the biggest Moffat booster imaginable.

http://whovianfeminism.tumblr.com/post/67967701167/whovian-feminism-reviews-the-day-of-the-doctorJugularjoshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03768939120752611597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6504598332261057441.post-57653141365356230652014-01-04T22:55:27.888-05:002014-01-04T22:55:27.888-05:00Heh. I, of course, hated the 50th anniversary special.

I sorely missed Christopher Eccleston, who was possibly my favorite Doctor of all (and favorite of the new series by far) -- though I can't blame Moffat on this one, as they tried very hard to get him to participate. And I've always been under the impression that the vague and somewhat mysterious catastrophic fate of Gallifrey was, well, essentially what they ended up "changing" it to. This seems to have mostly been my own weird interpretation of things (though it's certainly not entirely unsupported), but it made the entire story fall utterly flat for me. Also, I may be a bit biased since he essentially replaced the role of Eccleston, but I really didn't like John Hurt as the Doctor. I found his entire performance a bit flat (especially compared to how Eccleston performed the role in my head), and he was so different in both appearance and personality from the other Doctors that I had a hard time seeing him as one of them, and not just another one off NPC. (Wait, that's the wrong word for TV, but hopefully you catch my drift.)cfchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13950133709503504617noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6504598332261057441.post-74919971366657653522013-12-23T18:38:25.531-05:002013-12-23T18:38:25.531-05:00Preach it, sister!Preach it, sister!Jugularjoshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03768939120752611597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6504598332261057441.post-17318751547339011682013-12-23T18:22:46.790-05:002013-12-23T18:22:46.790-05:00Stupid Peri!Stupid Peri!JLAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13235093202956238922noreply@blogger.com
