- Neil Armstrong
- Neil deGrasse "I killed Pluto and I'd do it again" Tyson
- Neil Gaiman
- Neil Patrick Harris
- Neil Diamond
- Neil Peart
- Neil Young
- Young Neil
- Neil Sedaka
- General Zod. He's pretty great, but the cardinal rule in Ranking the Neils is always "Neil Before Zod"
Nice list. I disagree with Neil Peart as #6, but that's mainly because I'm not really enamored of Rush anymore. But Peart is also apparently an author?
ReplyDeleteI still like Rush, even if the local radio stations seem to think that they only ever recorded the same three songs.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't aware that he was an author either. Neat.
I hadn't commented on this yet because I've never actually seen (or, at least, I don't remember seeing) the Superman movie with General Zod. I was waiting for someone with more knowledge of the subject to comment on the joke at the end, but it looks like that's not happening.
ReplyDeleteThus, I feel it's time to point out that the Neil before Zod joke was an A+, even for someone who's never seen the movie (but is at least aware of the reference). Bravo!
Also, I'd probably bump Neil Gaiman to #1, but that's just me.
Also ALSO, and you forgot Fat Neil from Community. Or maybe you didn't.

ReplyDeleteAs he has neither been on the moon, nor killed a planet, he will remain at number 3!

We got rid of our cable a couple years back and the only episode I've ever seen of Community was the pilot. I am a bad geek.

DeleteOkay, you at LEAST need to get on Amazon and rent/buy the season-2 episode, "Advanced Dungeons and Dragons." It's D&D + a Lord of the Rings parody. It's tough to beat.
