October 11: A Night in the Lonesome October-fest

Not much happens on October 11th. Snuff encounters the Great Detective, who recognizes him as the same dog they had encountered earlier. We learn that Snuff has a shredded right ear, so update your mental image accordingly.

I really like Zelazny's treatment of Holmes. I don't know enough about the man to know his opinions on the Great Detective, but I dig the way he treats the character.

When they ask him to take them to his home, he leads them to Morris and MacCab's place. Then he draws a few more lines and we're done for the day. This is what a chapter without the Things looks like.
