Single White Necromancer Seeks Same
So, I published an e-book. I'm very happy with both the title and the cover. And the story, too, I guess. Judge for yourself at the Amazon page.

Congrats on publishing man, that's really cool. How long did it take you to write?
ReplyDeleteIt was written over the span of about a year. I'll probably cover it in greater detail in a later post, but here's the short version. It started out as a Night in the Lonesome October story that I intended for the Lovecraftzine's Lonesome October issue, but it was already over 12000 words (and growing) when I talked to Mike about it, and he told me that it was just too long to be feasible. That was June or July 2013. So I shelved it and wrote something else for the zine.
DeleteI returned to it at the beginning of this year, plugging away with 500 words every day, and stripping out the elements specific to October, and reworking it as a more "generic" Mythos story. I wrapped up the writing in March, then returned to it again in May for some edits, and tweaked it on and off over the past month.
Eventually, I decided that all the tweaking wasn't making it "better", just "different", so I decided to sit down and publish.
